Bank Support Practitioner - Male Only

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Downfield Street Housing Support service as Support Practitioner on a bank contract. Our bank contracts will give you flexibility over the days and hours you work. Tell us when you're available and we'll look to give you shifts to fit.

Due to the nature of this role, we can only accept applications from male candidates.

You don’t need previous experience in care to join our team as a Support Practitioner as we recruit on values and transferable skills. We provide full training along with the opportunity for you to complete your SVQ.

The role:

Downfield Street Housing Support Service has 11 permanent Support Practitioners providing support to 11 individuals with varying needs, ranging from mental health, physical needs, learning disabilities, addiction and forensic support needs.

The people we support require assistance with tasks, such as personal care, homecare and household tasks, medication, meal preparation or support with cooking meals, shopping, managing finances, arranging appointments or accessing their local community.

To be an amazing Support Practitioner, we’ll need you to:

• Have an empathetic and caring nature
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• IT literate
• Be able to work well in a team environment and on your own
• Good organisational skills

Shift Patterns:

Our dedicated team provide tailored support 24/7 and shift patterns include working days, evenings, sleepovers, weekends and bank/public holidays.
