Our team is on the lookout for two understanding and motivated *male colleagues with a positive attitude to join them as Support Practitioners on a part-time, permanent basis (17 hours per week).
You don't need experience in care to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We’ll give you all the training you need to be an amazing Support Practitioner including a fully funded SVQ.
The Role:
Based within our Inverclyde dispersed service, this is a unique opportunity supporting young adults with learning disabilities and autism who have behaviours of concern and epilepsy for college and social support.
As a Support Practitioner you will assist with all aspects of daily living including meal preparation, medication, going to appointments and activities, managing personal finances, support with moving and handling and personal care.
As well as helping the people we support in their own homes, you’ll also provide emotional support and support them to maintain relationships with family and friends. We’ll be looking to you to take an active interest in their hobbies, which can include going out for a tasty bite or catching the latest movie to a gym session or group activity. The list is endless but the most important role you will play, is supporting individuals with their independence and being an active part of their local community.
To be part of our team, we’ll need you to:
- Have an empathetic and caring nature.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence in using computers.
- Be able to work well in a team environment and on your own.
- Good organisational skills.
Shift Patterns
Our dedicated team provide tailored support for each individual, and shifts will be made up of early and back shifts between the hours of 8am and 9:30pm. This role does include working weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis.
