We have a fantastic new opportunity for a permanent Senior Support Worker and an Acting Senior Support Worker on a fixed term contract.

About the Role:

As a senior support worker your duties could involve managing and mentoring a team of support staff, identify training needs, leading the writing of support plans, rota management and participating in review meetings. There will also be practical support with the person`s daily life, personal care or helping to promote a positive, active and healthy lifestyle to the individual you are supporting. We have 1 permanent position based in Glenrothes and surrounding areas, and 1 fixed term Acting Senior post based in Glenrothes and Auchtermuchty areas. Both roles are full time hours, and due to travel requirements we are looking for applications from drivers with access to own vehicles.

The permanent post covers multiple occupancy setting services alongside two other Senior Support Workers, managing a team of 8 individuals who have a variety of complex needs including learning disabilities and epilepsy.

The Acting Senior post covers maternity leave for a period of 6 months. This vacancy is open to female applicants only, as the post-holder will be required to participate in care provision of female only 24hour services.

For all Senior Support Worker roles we are looking for drivers with access to own vehicles due to the travel requirements of these roles. All three vacancies are full time. Senior staff are expected to cover oncall duties. As a Senior member of staff, we would expect you to step in and assist with covering shifts. Requirements:

For this fantastic opportunity you will need:

· at least 2 years previous experience of supporting individuals within care,

· experience of leading teams in a social care environment,

· have or are working towards you SVQ level 3,

· hold a full driving licence and have access to own vehicle.
