The Richmond Fellowship Scotland makes a real difference in supporting people with their everyday lives. We have an exciting opportunity to join our Glasgow East Housing Supportservice as Support Practitioner on a full-time basis (39 hours per week).
The role:
As a Support Practitioner, you will predominantly supporting a male service user with Prader Willi syndrome, who is bi-polar and autistic and suffers from anxiety and has a learning disability. Therefore, experience in one or any of these fields of work would be advantageous. Our service user wants to live his life to the fullest, so we are seeking someone energetic and who enjoys the outdoors, as well as having excellent communication skills.
As well as supporting this particular individual, the successful candidate will likely support other service users across the Glasgow East service.
To be an amazing Support Practitioner, we’ll need you to:
- Have an empathetic and caring nature
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- IT literate
- Be able to work well in a team environment and on your own
- Good organisational skills
Shift Patterns:
Our dedicated team provide tailored support 24/7 and shift patterns include working days, evenings, sleepovers, weekends and bank/public holidays.
The sleepover part of your shift is not included in your contracted hours so for every sleepover you cover you will be paid an additional £99.20.
