We’re expanding in our Beeswing service!
Our fabulous team are on the lookout for active and compassionate individuals with the ability to motivate and inspire to join them as Support Practitioners.
We are currently able to offer full time and part time Support Practitioner contracts. Please be aware that we are unable to offer Bank contracts at the moment.
You don’t need previous experience in care to join our team as a Support Practitioner as we recruit based on values and transferable skills. Our award winning Learning and Development team provide full training along with the opportunity for you to complete your SVQ Level 2 in-house!
However, for these roles we do require candidates who have a full driving licence and access to their own vehicles. You must be willing to take out business insurance as you will be compensated 45p per mile during your shift.
The Role:
Beeswing is a 24/7 supported living service about 7miles from Dumfries. The service has capacity for 5 individuals all living in their own homes. Each individual has complex & varying needs including Intellectual & Physical Disabilities and Autism. The service has a staff base on site which is manned 24/7 including 2 sleepovers. Shifts vary from an 8am start to a 10pm finish. An average shift pattern includes 8-3:30 / 2:30-10. There can be split shifts or longer/shorter shifts where service needs apply. There is an element of behaviours of concern which are managed using a Positive Behaviour Support approach. Staff will require to complete service specific training including CALM, Epilepsy & M&H.
To be an amazing Support Practitioner, we’ll need you to:
