Roar – Connections For Life Ltd is an award-winning charity supporting more than 1,150 older people in Renfrewshire to live healthier, more independent, and socially connected lives. Our work focuses on our commitment to prevention, early intervention, and improving quality of life for vulnerable people by addressing need before crisis occurs.

Older adults face increasing risks of isolation, declining mobility, and poor health, particularly following bereavement, illness, or reduced independence. Without early, preventative support, these challenges often escalate, leading to loneliness, hospital admissions, and long-term reliance on statutory services. Roar exists to interrupt this cycle.

Our preventative services focus on reducing isolation, improving physical and mental wellbeing, and sustaining independence. Through community-based programmes including strength and balance classes, falls prevention, social and wellbeing groups, digital inclusion, and befriending, Roar provide practical, low-level support that delivers high impact. These services help older people remain active, connected, and confident, while reducing demand on health and social care systems.

Role

This is a unique opportunity to lead an award-winning organisation dedicated to improving the lives of older adults across Renfrewshire, we are seeking and exceptional CEO to lead the organisation into its next phase of growth, and impact.

As CEO, you will lead the delivery of our 2025–2028 Strategic Plan, ensuring Roar continues to respond to the changing needs of older adults while strengthening its role as a key partner within Renfrewshire’s health and social care landscape.

You will provide strategic leadership, inspire a committed team and volunteer network, and position Roar as a leading voice in preventative, community-based ageing support.
