Complex Care at Home Paediatric Nurse – Dumbarton
ScotNursing & Medical Services (SNMS) is a leading nursing and care provider delivering high-quality care and support across Scotland.
We are currently recruiting Registered Paediatric Nurses to join our Complex Care at Home Team in the Dumbarton area.
About the Role
Working within a tailored Complex Care at Home package, you will provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care to a child with complex medical needs in their own home, supporting them to remain at home and enjoy the best possible quality of life.
The package has been specifically tailored around the child's individual needs, and you will play an important role in providing safe, compassionate and consistent care while supporting the child and their family.
Previous experience in complex care, paediatric nursing or Care at Home is desirable, but full training and shadowing will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care, including assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor and document vital signs and changes in the child's condition
- Maintain accurate and complete clinical records
- Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care
- Support and educate the child and their family regarding their care, medication and treatment plans
- Promote the child's independence, dignity, comfort and choice at all times
- Provide compassionate and family-centred care within the home environment
Essential Requirements
- Valid NMC PIN
- Minimum 1 year's nursing experience in the UK
- Paediatric nursing experience is desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong clinical knowledge and understanding
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider healthcare team
- Commitment to providing safe, compassionate and person-centred care
- A caring, patient and professional approach to supporting children and their families
