Today, in over 60 communities we work with adults and young people providing mental health social care support, services in primary care, schools and further education, among others.

These services together with our national programme work in See Me, respectme, suicide prevention and active living; inform our policy and campaign work to influence positive social change. SAMH is dedicated to mental health and wellbeing for all: with a vision of a society where people are able to live their lives fully, regardless of present or past circumstances.

For Scotland’s Mental Health

Post: Corporate Partnerships Manager

Ref: REC1603

Location: Glasgow/Hybrid

Hours: 37.5

Salary: £34,226 - £37,892 Pay point 32 – Pay point 36

Contract: Permanent

As Scotland’s national mental health charity, SAMH has kept a pulse on the external factors affecting wellbeing in the workplace, including the ongoing cost-of-living crisis and the aftermath of the pandemic. While many businesses and organisations have met these pressures with an increased commitment to their employees’ mental health, embedding this commitment into an organisational strategy is nuanced and complex.

In response to this cultural shift, SAMH has invested in a newly expanded Workplace & Corporate Engagement Team that is supporting the increasingly diverse needs of Scottish employers and workforce regarding mental health and wellbeing.

Our Workplace & Corporate Engagement Team cultivates transformational, mutually beneficial partnerships with businesses and organisations through four main functions:

Account Management – Partner Stewardship

Strengthening relationships with existing partners through proactive and personalised stewardship. By maintaining regular communication, providing meaningful updates, and demonstrating measurable impact, we aim to cultivate deeper engagement. Increase opportunities for additional monetary support from current partners, including securing multi-year commitments. Turning one-time partnerships into sustained, long-term collaborations.

Engagement – Enquiry Management and Business Development

Strategically managing incoming enquiries while actively identifying and pursuing new business development opportunities. Fostering a clear and responsive approach to partner engagement, identifying potential areas for growth within existing relationships. This includes exploring opportunities for partners to increase their financial support or collaborate on multi-year agreements that ensure ongoing contributions and mutual success.

Development – Product and Content Development

Innovating and tailoring projects, products, and content that appeal to both current and potential partners. Offering fresh and relevant initiatives that enhance the value proposition for our partners, leading to increased monetary contributions. Developing bespoke packages for multi-year partnerships creating stability and long-term income.

Delivery – Service Delivery

Ensuring high-quality, impactful service delivery that meets or exceeds partner expectations. Flawless execution of projects and programmes maintaining trust and opening doors to discussions about future collaborations and increased financial contributions.

The role of Corporate Partnerships Manager leads our Account Management function and has a focus on delivering account management to high value/strategic partnerships, line management of two Account Managers and supporting the Senior Manager in maximising corporate fundraising through partnerships.
