Around since 1923, SAMH is Scotland’s national mental health charity. Today, we operate over 70 services in communities across Scotland, providing mental health social care support, addictions and employment services, among others. Location: North Ayrshire

Salary: £28,575 - £32,382 (Salary Points 25 to 29) whilst this is a scale for progression, the starting salary is point 25

Hours: 37.5 hours

Contract: Permanent

About the Role

We deliver a diverse range of employability interventions including:

Individual Placement and Support (IPS): Co located and integrated within partner agencies such as Community Mental Health Teams or Drug and Alcohol Partnerships. Predominantly working to the IPS delivery model on a 1:1 basis with clients

You will manage a caseload of clients to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment, and/or other outcomes, as detailed within the Service Level Agreement. You will provide person centred advice and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers, referral and partner agencies

What we are looking for:

• Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with a range of people
• Ability to work independently and use initiative to develop and promote a service
• Able to use IT and tools such as MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Experience of working with individuals on a one-to-one basis and in groups
• Experience working in employment services supporting people to obtain or keep work
• Experience/understanding of working with people with mental health problems, or a similar client group within health, social care or the voluntary sector
• Experience and understanding of mental health and health inequalities and the impact these have on communities.
• An understanding of the employment needs, and challenges faced by people who experience labour market exclusion
• Knowledge of the benefits system including disability related benefits would be beneficial
