Around since 1923, SAMH is Scotland’s national mental health charity. We have represented the voice of people most affected by mental health problems in Scotland for almost 100 years. About the Role
The role of Support Worker works in partnership with Moray Health & Social Care Partnership (MHSCP) to provide community recovery focused outreach and inreach with their acute admission ward to prepare individuals for discharge.
As a keyworker we expect you to establish positive relationships and offer practical and emotional support to the people who use our services and have severe and enduring mental health problems. The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a mature and caring attitude and possess excellent listening and communication skills.
What we are looking for
You should also have experience of working in the field of mental health or social care. An SVQ in health and social care or equivalent is highly desirable. Whatever your experience or background, a flexible caring approach combined with good practical skills will be essential. You should be flexible in the hours you can work and may include some evenings and weekends pro rata. There is no sleepovers in this service. Access to own transport would be advantageous due to the geographical spread of the people we support.
