Ref: REC1547
Location: Remote, with some travel across Scotland
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week
Salary: £27,662.00 to £31,347.00 (Salary Point 25 – 29)

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled people manager with excellent coordination skills to join the Time for You team as the service grows and expands. Time for You is a national psychological wellbeing service which provides a stepped-care model of support to individuals over 16 years old, living in Scotland who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health or wellbeing challenges. Time for You is currently delivered remotely and offers the following support:
- 1-to-1 Cognitive Behavioural Coaching sessions with a Wellbeing Practitioner
- 1-to-1 Talking Therapy sessions with a Student Counsellor or Trainee Psychologist
- Access to self-directed support and resources via Qwell
The Team Leader is a new role to the service and will predominantly be responsible for the management, coordination, recruitment, induction and oversight of the student placements. Over the next academic year, Time for You aims to substantially increase the number of student placements available and the Team leader will play a pivotal role in progressing this.
Time for You prides itself in being a placement of choice for students enrolled on a selection of Doctorate and Masters level courses with our academic partners. We offer a placement where students can not only complete their placement hours with us, but also have opportunities to be involved in projects that can help them complete their log books, as well as develop their professional practice within a leading mental health organisation. It is important to us that the Team Leader continues to deliver a high standard of placement experience for students.
All students are required to have their own clinical supervision, so this is not a clinical supervision role. The successful candidate will assume the role of ‘Placement Educator’ where appropriate with academic partners.
What we are looking for
We’re looking for someone with great people skills who is enthusiastic, pro-active and passionate about improving access to psychological wellbeing services to join our team and be a part of the expansion of SAMH’s Time for You service.
You will be an organised and approachable, able to work autonomously and take initiative to deliver a high quality service for those we support, and our students on placement. A natural leader, you will have experience of successfully managing or coordinating teams remotely, and be able to develop supportive relationships with their team and positive relationships with our academic partners.
There can be lots of moving parts with a high volume of students and clients, so we are looking for a systems and data-oriented individual who is highly organised to support the service manager and service coordinator with resource planning, process flows and case management oversight.
A knowledge of therapeutic approaches and the training routes for psychology and counselling disciplines would be highly advantageous for this role.
As Team Leader, you will typically be Mon-Fri, however there may be a requirement to work some weekends as needed and participate in the local out of hours on-call rota.
