Hours: 15 per week (0.4 FTE)

Salary: Pro Rata £30,467.00 - £33,515* (Salary Point 26 to Point 29*)

*Whilst this is a scale for progression, the starting salary is point

About the Role

SAMH is the Strategic Outcome Lead for Outcome 2 of the Scottish Government / COSLA suicide prevention strategy Creating Hope Together. The strategy’s vision is to reduce the number of suicide deaths in Scotland, whilst tackling the inequalities which contribute to suicide.

The aim of Outcome 2 of the strategy is to ensure that our communities have a clear understanding of suicide, its risk factors and its prevention so that people and organisations are more able to respond in helpful and informed ways when they, or others, need support.

To support achievement of this outcome SAMH has commissioned the development of a website to provide suicide prevention resources, information and advice in a single accessible digital space.

The post holder will work alongside the Suicide Prevention SOL Programme Manager to ensure the website is efficiently managed, monitored, utilised and kept up-to-date.

This role provides a real opportunity for you to contribute to saving lives by strengthening Scotland’s awareness and responsiveness to suicide, and people who are suicidal.

What we are looking for

To be successful in this post you will need experience of managing and updating websites, and familiarity with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics. You will be highly organised, and have good communications and problem-solving skills. Experience of working in suicide prevention and mental health will be advantageous.
