Hours: 37.5 hrs per week

Salary: £24,672 - £26,974 per annum (Point 19 – 23)

Contract: Fixed Term until 30 November 2025

About the Role

SAMH are recruiting a Welcome Team Practitioner to join our multi-disciplinary team in the South West of Edinburgh. In this exciting role you will carry out strengths-based conversations with people using the service to identify needs and personal outcomes through a Thrive Conversation and Thrive Plan. You will assist and support people to establish and maintain meaningful and fulfilling links in the community and support them to find the right help when needed including social, therapeutic and medical interventions. You will support the delivery of regular Thrive Drop Ins in South-West Edinburgh.

We will expect you to establish strong and sustainable relationships in the community which will increase awareness and engagement of the project and promote building resilience to enable behaviour, culture and community change around stigma and discrimination.

To be successful in this post you will meet the essential criteria, core competencies behaviour and skills listed in the role profile and be able to demonstrate a proven track record of delivering outcomes for vulnerable adults; and knowledge and experience of working in the field of mental health and wellbeing.

This is a fixed term post currently, with the possibility of extension depending on contract renewal.
