Scottish Veterans’ Residences (SVR), Scotland’s oldest military charity, has an array of resources at its disposal to support former Armed Forces and Merchant Navy personnel, who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or who otherwise need housing support. We seek to maximise their independence and provide support to move on to appropriate, permanent accommodation wherever possible. Veterans have their own fully furnished en-suite room and access our onsite support and facilities including dining room, providing all our residents with meals, communal lounges, a gym & and laundry services.

We are recruiting a Housing Assistant (part time) to join our Team in our Rosendael Residence in Broughty Ferry, Dundee. Rosendael offers a dynamic housing support service to assist our Veterans to return to independent living where appropriate. This is a pivotal role providing intensive housing management and support to Veterans.

This post is 26.25 hours per week over a repeating 4-week rota, Monday to Sunday, day shift (8am to 4pm – 11 shifts every 4 weeks) and late shift (2pm to 10pm – 3 shifts every 4 weeks) including elements where you are a lone worker.

ABOUT YOU

Motivated, dedicated and enthusiastic, you will delivery effective housing management services to our Veterans including general housing enquiries and dealing with antisocial behaviour. To fulfil our Vision and Mission, you will embed our Values to deliver the safety, health, comfort, and welfare of Veterans in line with the Care Inspectorate’s Health and Social Care Standards.

With previous housing management experience delivering positive, sustainable outcomes you will be dedicated to the support and the wellbeing of residents. You will hold or be working towards an SVQ2 in Housing, Health and Social care, or equivalent. You will also have an understanding of the supported housing sector and be able to demonstrate a track record of contributing to high quality services. You are reliable, consistent, focused, and flexible in both your outlook and approach.

In return, we offer an excellent remuneration package within the range £21,019 to £24,996 per annum (pro-rata £14,713 to £17,497) dependent on experience, plus additional benefits, and pension, with 30 days annual holiday.
