Companion/Befriender (Ref: SDS/HOD/317959)

Fixed-Term Contract Until August 2025

Hours: 7.5 hours per fortnight (Saturday/Sunday or a flexible day after school)

Are you someone who loves helping others grow in confidence and independence? If so, we’d love for you to join us as a Companion/Befriender!

In this role, you’ll support a vibrant 16-year-old young lady who is social, talkative, and full of life. She enjoys shopping, walking, football, and exploring new places—and she’s ready for a trusted companion to join her on these adventures.

She’s preparing for college and would love someone who can help her gain independence while keeping her safe and offering guidance with decision-making.

What we’re looking for:

• A caring, fun, and patient individual with a positive outlook.
• Someone reliable and flexible, with a good sense of humour.
• Experience in care is a bonus, but not essential.
• Willingness to hold (or obtain) PVG membership.

There’s also an opportunity to support her sister for 9 hours per week, so let us know if you’d like to be considered for both roles.
