Cleaner – TouchBase Lanarkshire - Hamilton

Permanent | Part‑time | 20 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 1:30pm–5:30pm)

Are you committed to creating clean, safe, and welcoming spaces? We’re looking for a proactive and reliable Cleaner to join our Facilities Team at TouchBase Lanarkshire. This is a permanent, part‑time role working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

TouchBase Lanarkshire is a modern, purpose‑built centre offering a wide range of support services for people with disabilities and additional needs. It’s a vibrant environment where arts, music, physical activities, and social programmes help individuals grow, connect, and live more independently.

About the Role

As a key member of our Facilities Team, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for the people we support, visitors, and colleagues. You’ll use cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively, following COSHH regulations, and you’ll contribute to the wider upkeep of the centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness across designated areas.
  • Safely operate cleaning equipment, chemicals, and materials in line with COSHH guidelines.
  • Carry out a variety of cleaning tasks, including mopping, hoovering, deep cleaning, laundry duties, and thorough cleaning of all rooms.
  • Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
  • Support the Cleaning Supervisor with additional tasks as required.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in cleaning or a similar role (desirable).
  • A team player with good communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable about infection control and COSHH procedures.
  • Skilled in safe manual handling and general safety practices.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to support during public holidays and events requiring extra cleaning.

If you’re motivated, take pride in your work, and want to contribute to a positive, supportive environment, we’d love to hear from you. Join Sense Scotland and help make a difference every day.
