About the service
We’re recruiting a compassionate and reliable Female Support Worker* to join a small team supporting two individuals in their own home in the Northfield area of Aberdeen.
Both individuals are deaf and have a learning disability, and we’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic about supporting them to live full, active, and independent lives.
About the role
- You’ll provide person-centred support tailored to each individual’s needs. This includes:
- Supporting with medication, personal care, and household tasks
- Assisting with appointments and financial support
- Encouraging and supporting a wide range of activities such as swimming, football, discos, arts and crafts, horse riding, and even holidays abroad
What you’ll need
- A full UK driving licence (essential for supporting individuals to activities and appointments)
- A flexible approach and willingness to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and sleepovers
- A caring, patient, and positive attitude
- Previous experience is beneficial but not essential – values and willingness to learn are key
Typical shifts
You will be required to work a mix of the following shifts:
- 10am – 10am (includes sleepover)
- 10am – 3pm
- 4pm – 9pm
- 8am – 4pm
- 4pm – 8am (includes sleepover)
Please note: shift times may vary slightly to accommodate the individuals’ schedules. Sleepovers are paid at regular hourly rate.
