Female Support Worker – Strathbungo, Glasgow - 35 hours per week

At Sense Scotland, we support people to live happy, fulfilling lives and achieve their personal goals. Guided by strong values and meaningful relationships, our teams make a real difference every day. Join us and be part of an award‑winning organisation where your work truly matters.

About the Service

Our Strathbungo Supported Living Service provides high-quality, person-centred support to six adults with complex needs, primarily deafblind, some of whom do not communicate verbally.

We are proud to have achieved a Care Inspection grade of 6 – Excellent and to be recognised as Team of the Year 2025.

Who You’ll Support

You’ll support four women (aged 30–60) and two men, living independently in flats in the Strathbungo area. Individuals may have conditions such as epilepsy, deafblindness and mobility needs. Support is provided on a 1:1 basis, at home and in the community.

Those we support are sociable, fun-loving and enjoy shopping trips, cinema nights, discos, local walks and holidays—there’s never a dull day!

The Role

You’ll build trusted relationships and support individuals to live independently and achieve their goals. Duties include:

  • Personal care, medication, meal preparation and household tasks
  • Supporting finances and daily routines
  • Encouraging independence and choice
  • Community activities and social events
  • Maintaining records and working closely with families and professionals

Shifts & Hours

  • Up to 37 hours per week (23 shifts per month)
  • Mix of early (07:30–14:30) and late (14:30–21:30) shifts
  • Some weekend work and sleepover duties required
  • Service operates 24/7, 365 days a year

About You

You don’t need previous care experience—what matters most is your attitude and values. We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about supporting others
  • Patient, reliable and organised
  • A positive team player with good communication skills
  • Willing to learn and develop

If you’re looking for a meaningful role that makes a genuine difference—and enjoy bringing smiles and fun into people’s lives—we’d love to hear from you.
