About the service
At Mosspark, you’ll find a small but dedicated team supporting two individuals who are primarily deafblind with complex and diverse needs. Some may not communicate verbally, so we focus on value-based communication, tailoring our support to meet each person’s unique way of connecting with the world.
Who do we support?
At our Mosspark service, we support two vibrant females, aged between 39 and 50, who live in a shared house in the Pollok area of Glasgow. They have various health conditions, including epilepsy, deaf-blindness, and mobility issues.
Your role will be centred around building trusting relationships as a foundation to assist with practical tasks such as:
- Support within their own homes with personal care, housework, administering medication, meal preparation, support with finances companionship etc
- Liaise with families and other professionals to provide the best quality care
- Promote independence and individuality according to their Support Plan
- Record daily tasks and maintain accurate records
- Work as part of a team, effectively communicating with the staff team, families, and people supported.
What's the shift pattern
Our Mosspark Service provides round-the-clock support every day of the year.
As a Female Support Worker*, you will work 35 hours over 7 days of the week therefore weekend work is required.
Shifts include a mix of early shifts (07:30 – 14:30) and late shifts (14:30 – 21:30)
