Looking for a rewarding career in Social Care? Join Sense Scotland and make a real difference supporting people to live fulfilling, independent lives.
We are currently recruiting a Male Support Practitioner* for our Pollok Housing Support Service.

About the Role
You’ll be part of a close knit, values driven team providing person centred support to two deafblind men in their 50s who live independently in the Pollok area of Glasgow. Support is mainly 1:1, with some 2:1 support during activities.
The people we support live active, structured lives and enjoy swimming, walking, eating out, travelling, and community activities—including overseas trips. Communication may be non verbal, so building meaningful connections is central to this role.

- Promote independence and individuality in line with support plans
- Maintain accurate daily records
- Liaise with families and professionals
- Work collaboratively within a supportive team

- Mix of day shifts and longer shifts (including sleepovers)
- Flexible, balanced rota
About You
We’re looking for someone with a genuine passion for social care who is:
- A positive team player with good communication skills
- Organised, motivated, and able to use initiative
- Patient, understanding, and compassionate
- Willing to learn and develop
Experience is welcome but not essential—full training is provided. We encourage applications from both experienced care professionals and those looking to start a career in social care.
If you want a role where you can truly make a difference and build meaningful relationships, we’d love to hear from you.
