Sense Scotland is recruiting now for Support Practitioners within both Dundee and Forfar. Whilst no experience is required as full training will be provided, you must have a genuine interest in working and caring for others.

Dundee and Forfar Housing Support:

The area of Housing Support means you will work with people within their own homes supporting them with their personal care such as bathing and toileting, medication administration, meal preparation, inspiring a healthy life style, and household tasks such as cleaning and laundry.

Other areas include encouraging the involvement of activities such as seeing friends, taking part in social gatherings such as organised walks, a tea dance or coffee mornings, going out to lunch, watching movies or trips to the cinema, going to the gym or simply out for a walk around the block!

Shift patterns: 24 hour care is provided and shifts will include early and late shifts, sleepover and waken night shifts, weekend and public holiday cover all via a staff rota system.

Dundee Day Support Services:

Registered under one branch within the Care Inspectorate covering more than one location - Support Service without Care at Home.

All the adults we support have a learning disability and /or physical disability and complex communication support needs. The service provides excellent facilities and opportunities for these individuals to be involved in a range of activities and includes a safe, warm space to meet up and socialise with their peers. The service supports with personal care, moving and assisting routines, non-verbal communication and sensory techniques, all while receiving specialist therapeutic support.

Shift patterns: The service operates between 8am and 10pm daily over 7 days. A variety of shifts are available and will include weekend and public holiday cover via a staff rota system.

Dundee Respite Service:

The Respite service runs short breaks, respite and residential care seven days a week, all year round.

The core aim is to provide a fun and stimulating service unique and developed in consultation with the people we support and their families. Providing opportunities for those who use it to access a range of activities both within the building and in the wider community, depending on individual wishes and aspirations. It offers an environment for people to meet up with their peers, enjoy leisure time together but also develop independent living skills.

Shift patterns: 24 hour care is provided and shifts will include early and late shifts, sleepover and waken night shifts, weekend and public holiday cover all via a staff rota system.
