Support Worker

St. David’s Bradbury Day Centre is a well-established voluntary organisation providing a welcoming, non-institutional day care service for older people with mental health and physical support needs, and their carers, across Midlothian.

We are seeking an experienced and committed Support Worker to join our small, dedicated team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting older people, promoting mental wellbeing, building self-esteem and reducing social isolation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred support
• Support mental wellbeing and encourage social engagement
• Assist with activities and personal care where required
• Maintain accurate records and follow care plans

About You

• Caring, enthusiastic and highly motivated
• Good verbal, written and IT skills
• SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
• Experience working with older people
• Flexible to work some weekends (centre open 7 days)
