Are you an ambitious, creative and influential practitioner who is passionate about supporting Young People to bring about positive change in their lives?

We are looking to recruit a dynamic individual who can provide life changing support to young people affected by their own or someone else’s substance use in the Angus area. We are looking for a passionate and driven individual who can encourage young people to be empowered and make positive life choices and changes with support. This support may include but is not limited to focussed work around substance use (information and guidance), re-engagement with education, supporting diversion away from anti-social or offending behaviour, focussed work on family and peer relationships and coping techniques.

We specialise in working with particularly vulnerable young people and often more complex case work so your background and training should evidence this in some way. You will also be expected to deliver targeted group sessions as well as information and guidance sessions as required and again, your background should reflect experience of this type of work. You will be joining a team of successful staff who pride themselves on quality work and delivery and making a real difference in some very challenging circumstances.

You must be a team player and have the ability to accept responsibility and make decisions. You will possess good interpersonal skills, good communications skills, both written and oral, and competency in basic computing and IT. You will be capable of logical thinking, practical problem-solving, objective assessment skills and report writing. You must also be able to motivate and support others.

Applicants will come with demonstrable skills and a track record of supporting complex and vulnerable young people to overcome the trauma and challenges of their lives. They will usually have held a similar demanding role in their respective profession and should have experience of delivering evidence informed approaches in their practice. Resource Workers work with significant autonomy and authority and embrace responsibility and are accountable for their work.

Driving licence and access to a car is essential.
