Our Personal Assistants support people to lead full, active and socially connected lives, supporting people to achieve the things that matter to them.

Applicants should have, or be willing to work towards, a qualification meeting the standards required for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

Job Details

We are looking for a dedicated and fun-loving *female* to join our team for a woman named June who lives a full, outgoing and creative life. She is funny, expressive and accomplished. She has even written a book about her interesting life story!

From enjoying spending time on her computer to getting creative with knitting to writing about her life stories or attending local social clubs. June’s interests are diverse. She also loves a getaway. For example, holidaying at the caravan park in Seton Sands.

This is a highly rewarding opportunity to provide person-centred support to help June to maintain her independence and to stay connected to her community.

She thrives when supported by individuals who value strong, trusting and long-term relationships thus having the right values, attitude and personality is what truly matters for this role. The ideal person for this role would be very patient, confident and supportive with a commitment to active listening and a love for a bit of light-hearted banter.

Because building a trusting, long-term relationship is vital to her well-being. We are looking for someone who can be consistent and who is looking for a long-term role with Thistle. The role is 16 hours per week which include day shifts, evening shifts and sleepovers.
