Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Lead to join our team, providing essential support to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to seniors and those requiring additional help in a luxurious private care home setting. This role requires strong communication skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
  • Supporting the Unit Managers in leading a team of dedicated carers.
  • Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
  • Supervise and monitor residents to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care needs and progress.
  • Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in resident condition to the appropriate personnel.
  • Foster a warm and supportive environment that promotes independence and dignity for all residents.
  • Provide timely supervision and appraisals to the staff team.

Experience

  • Previous experience in care or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • Hold a valid SVQ qualification or be willing to work towards achieving this.
  • Strong IT skills for managing care plans and documentation are advantageous.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to supervise other staff members effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for interacting with residents and their families.
  • A valid driving license is desirable for transporting residents when necessary.
