We have exciting vacancies for 2 Bank Care & Support Workers. It’s an excellent job opportunity for those who live in and around Girvan and South Ayrshire.

As a Bank Care & Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in supporting older and vulnerable adults in their own homes. Operating on shifts over seven days a week, you'll provide assistance with daily living tasks based on individual care plans. Whether it's administering medication, personal support, or helping with meals, your empathetic approach will make a real difference to our tenants' lives. You’ll have the time to get to know our residents and are trusted to give each person the care and support they need, in the way they like.

  • Location: 5 Old Street, Girvan, South Ayrshire KA26 9HG
  • Hourly Rate: £12.50 per hour
  • Job Type: Bank/Casual basis (2 x roles available)
  • On-Site Working: Our tenants are all based within our housing development of extra care flats and cottages, designed for later living all within 1 location.

Care & Support Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate:

  • Has experience in the care sector and working with older people or other vulnerable members of a community, so you will understand their needs and know how to meet these.
  • Holds an SVQ in Health and Social Care or relevant qualification.
  • Demonstrates good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possesses basic IT skills.

Previous experience is preferred but not essential; we provide comprehensive training and support. What matters most is your passion, empathy, and dedication to helping our tenants live their lives to the fullest.

Please note this role is subject to satisfactory interview, references and a PVG check. You will be required to register with the SSSC, complete mandatory training within a timeframe and the commitment to studying for an SVQ in Care & Support if you do not already hold this qualification.
