Turning Point Scotland’s Glasgow Alcohol and Drug Residential Recovery Service – Stabilisation, is looking for a Part Time Cook to join the Team.

The role is 29.5 hours per week over 4 days, and you will have every second weekend off!

What you’ll do

• Manage the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring meals are prepared, cooked and served to residents.

• Take responsibility for food ordering, stock control and working within agreed budgets.

• Ensure all health and safety regulations and food standards legislation are followed.

• Knowledge of dietary food preparation including special diets.

What we’re looking for

• A confident Cook who can make last-minute menu adjustments.

• NQ in Professional Cookery or equivalent or demonstrable experience as a Cook.

• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate

• A compassionate person who can contribute to the welcoming and safe environment we have created for people we support


About The Service

At Glasgow’s Alcohol and Drug Residential Recovery Service – Stabilisation, we aim to provide a 4 to 6 weeks residential service for individuals who are no longer managing their support within a community setting.

Our team of social care, nursing and medical staff provide treatment and support to individuals who are deemed to be engaging in high-risk drug and/or alcohol use with complex needs. They address the individuals’ physical, mental, social and emotional needs. Encourage and motivate individuals assisting them to gain some stability back in their life.
