Turning Point Scotland’s Glasgow Alcohol and Drug Residential Recovery Service – Stabilisation, is looking for a Lead Practitioner to join their team.


What you’ll do

• Support people through challenging, crisis situations

• Deliver and participate in group workshops

• Create, review and update support plans, risk assessments and risk management plans.

• Contribute to a safe working environment for colleagues, people we support and the wider community.


What we’re looking for

• Experience of working in a drug and alcohol service is desirable

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries

• Experience in Leading staff in delivering support and maintaining accurate records.


Glasgow Alcohol and Drug Residential Recovery Service - Stabilisation

At Glasgow’s Alcohol and Drug Residential Recovery Service – Stabilisation, we aim to provide a 4 to 6 weeks residential service for individuals who are no longer managing their support within a community setting.

Our team of social care, nursing and medical staff will provide treatment and support to individuals who are deemed to be engaging in high-risk drug and/or alcohol use with complex needs. Collaboratively working within a Recovery Orientated System of Care (ROSC) to address the individuals’ physical, mental, social and emotional needs. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering a range of interventions in 1:1 and group work settings to support, encourage and motivate individuals to assist them to gain some stability back in their life.

As this is a 24/7 Service, you will work different shifts rotated between staff evenly. Shifts are typically, 8am-8pm and 10am-10pm. You will also take on a week of night shifts approximately once every three months, with seven shifts of 8pm-8am followed by one week off.
