We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Lead Practitioner to join our Glasgow Criminal Justice Tenancy Sustainment Service. This is a challenging but highly rewarding role where you will support men and women involved in the justice system to reintegrate safely into the community, sustain temporary accommodation and move towards secure tenancies.
About the service
Our sector-leading model combines trauma-informed, person-centred support with robust risk assessment and management planning. We work closely with Criminal Justice Social Work, Police Scotland, Scottish Prison Service, Homeless Casework Teams, Addiction Services and MAPPA/CPA partners to help people build coping strategies, address issues linked to offending or homelessness, and develop confidence, resilience and community connections.
What you will be doing
- Providing emotional and practical support to vulnerable adults within the justice system.
- Working in partnership with multi-agency colleagues to achieve positive outcomes.
- Using dynamic risk assessment skills to support safe community-based working.
- Supporting people to sustain accommodation, build stability and reduce barriers linked to offending or homelessness.
- Using your initiative in a variety of community situations, including lone working where required.
About you
- You will be solution-focused, open-minded and non-judgemental.
- You will be confident adapting your communication style to meet individual needs.
- You will be comfortable working independently in the community, while being part of a supportive team.
- You will have strong IT skills and be able to record information clearly and accurately.
- Experience in community outreach and a social care background is essential.
- Experience of supporting people with a criminal history and/or homelessness would be beneficial.

Our core hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm but flexibility is required for evening and weekend work to meet the needs of the service.
