Our Turning Point Scotland Services in Perth Floating Housing Support are looking for people like you to help provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team.

Perth and Kinross Housing and Support Service (PKHSS)

As part of PKHSS our intensive Housing Support Team provides person centred and flexible support to individuals with complex needs who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Covering the whole of Perthshire, based in Perth, the service will use a Housing First approach to deliver assertive outreach support. This support will tailored to meet the needs of individuals assisting them to achieve positive outcomes in various areas of their day to day lives whilst sustaining and maintaining their tenancies.


Perth Floating Housing Support Service provides support to adults with varying needs within their own homes. The service aims to enable individuals to develop the skills required in order to independently maintain and sustain their tenancies.


Covering the whole of Perth-shire the service uses an outcomes focused approach working with individuals for approximately 6-9 months to achieve mutually agreed outcomes and ultimately preventing homelessness.

The support we provide is always person centred, we do this by involving people who know the person well, this includes family and friends, other health and Social Work professionals, Advocacy services and our own staff members.

No previous working experience is needed; full training will be provided to you. We believe having the right values of respect, compassion, inclusion and integrity is all you need to join our team! We would offer you full support in completing your application.

The role is for a Support Practitioner, within this you will be required to deliver 1-2-1 support to individuals in their own home, enabling them to develop skills required to live independently, this can cover a variety of areas from assisting with budgeting, finances, keeping on top of day to day household activities to helping individuals to access appropriate supports from other agencies. You will be required to keep accurate notes regarding support visits carried out and also to complete risk assessments, support plans and reviews for each individual you key work. You will be provided with all of the training, support and equipment required to successfully fulfil the duties of the role, you will be required to do lone working but you should also be able to work well with others in the team and external agencies. The service operates Monday to Friday 8am-8pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am-6pm with the core hours being Monday – Friday 9am-5pm. There are options from 37 hours full-time and a 21 hour part-time role.
