Hourly: £12.19 - £12.74 per hour, rising to £12.43 in your first year of service

Turning Point Scotland is the biggest provider of services to people experiencing or at risk of Homelessness across Scotland, delivering support to around 2000 individuals on any given day, 4500 per year.

We believe that in many cases, Homelessness is entirely preventable. Where Homelessness is not or cannot be, prevented the experience should be brief and non-recurring. We provide support to people who are;

  • Experiencing Homelessness
  • At risk of Homelessness; and / or
  • Need some support to protect their home

About You

You don’t need to have experience as we will support you through our comprehensive Induction and ongoing Learning and Development training. What you do need is to have the flexibility to work full time (37 Hrs Week) Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm.

This role requires you to have a valid UK driver licence and access to your own car as travel to provide support is required across the area.

About the Role

As our Support Practitioner within Homelessness and Prevention, you will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing them with practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their lives e.g. keeping safe, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing.

As our Support Practitioner you will manage your own Case Load and Diary to provide support to the People we Support, full training and coaching will be provided.

No previous working experience is needed; full training will be provided to you. We believe having the right values of respect, compassion, inclusion and integrity is all you need to join our team! We would offer you full support in completing your application.
