About the Role

Wheatley Care is committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred support that enables people to live fulfilling and independent lives. We are currently looking for a dedicated and reliable Property Assistant to join our Falkirk Supported Living Service at Abbotsford Street.

Abbotsford Street provides 24/7 Care at Home support within a supported accommodation setting. The service supports adults with severe learning disabilities in the ground floor flat and adults on the autism spectrum on the first floor. As part of our team, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that directly contributes to the wellbeing and dignity of the people we support.

About the Role

As a Property Assistant, you will support the day-to-day upkeep and presentation of the property, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are consistently maintained. This includes:

  • Maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the lower flat to a high standard
  • Supporting with the washing, drying, and upkeep of clothing and bedding
  • Ensuring communal areas are safe, tidy, and well-presented at all times
  • Monitoring and replenishing janitorial supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure availability
  • Supporting the wider staff team to ensure the environment meets the needs of the people we support

You will work in line with Wheatley Care’s policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements, ensuring a safe environment for both colleagues and the people we support.

All successful candidates will be required to attend a comprehensive induction programme and complete all mandatory and role-specific training to ensure they are confident and competent in their role.

Experience & Skills

  • Previous experience in a cleaning, housekeeping, or facilities role (desirable)
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
  • Understanding of health and safety practices within a working environment
  • Flexibility to work across early, flexi, and late shifts
  • Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a busy service

Personal Qualities

  • Reliable, proactive, and adaptable
  • Respectful and compassionate when working within a support environment
  • Strong team player with effective communication skills
