Location: Drumnadrochit, Inverness-shire

Position: Centre Manager

Hours: 35 hours per week (term time) plus additional hours in school holidays to oversee holiday clubs

Are you a passionate, dedicated leader with a commitment to providing high-quality early years care? Glenurquhart Childcare Centre is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to lead our team in Drumnadrochit, nestled in the heart of the Highlands.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day management of the childcare centre, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with all regulatory standards.

Lead and inspire a team of dedicated childcare professionals, promoting a positive and nurturing environment for both staff and children.

Ensure the delivery of high-quality care and early education to children, fostering their development in a safe and supportive setting.

Work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to maintain strong community relationships.

Manage administrative duties, including staff scheduling, budgeting, and reporting to the board of trustees.

Develop and implement policies and procedures that reflect best practices in early years education.


Requirements:

Previous experience in a managerial role within a childcare or early years setting.

A recognised qualification in childcare (SVQ Level 4, BA Childhood Practice, or equivalent).

Excellent knowledge of the Scottish regulatory framework (e.g., Care Inspectorate).

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster a positive team environment.

A passion for delivering outstanding childcare and the ability to build strong relationships with children, staff, and parents.

PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) Scheme membership or willingness to obtain.
