GO Kids is a voluntary organisation and a recognised Scottish Charity who is regulated and inspected by Care Inspectorate. We have been providing wraparound care within 4 local Primary schools (Comely Park, St Margaret’s, Kinnaird and Victoria) for nearly 30 years. We pride ourselves on our nurturing care and stimulating activities for young children to thrive throughout term-time and school holidays.

The Role:

As the Assistant Project Manager, you will work directly with staff teams to motivate and provide support in their roles and in overseeing the high standards of care and play experiences. You will be part of a company where we commit to continuous improvement both individually and for the service, creating a service that is always learning, growing and innovating.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the running of two of our services providing leadership to the staff team and ensure robust quality assurance processes are in place.
  • To carry out staff supervisions and appraisals to support staff’s professional development and seeking and providing training opportunities.
  • To carry out administrative tasks such as registration of children, care plans, medications and risk assessments.
  • To work on waiting lists, allocations and bookings. To prepare monthly invoices and log payments.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with the Project Manager on developing and implementing policies and procedures to maintain high quality care and play opportunities.
  • To attend and contribute to meetings including monthly staff senior meetings and management committee meetings.

Requirements:

  • Minimum SVQ in Playwork, SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) HNC Childhood Practice, all level 7 – or equivalent listed by Scottish Social Services Council.
  • You will be registered as a Manager in a day care of children services with the SSSC and you will hold or be willing to work towards gaining a BA in Childhood Practice or PDA Childhood Practice level 9.
  • You will have experience in leadership with good communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience:

  • Leadership: 1 year preferred
  • Childcare experience: 2 years preferred
