Nursery Manager

We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Manager with to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will have a background in early childhood education and/or childcare, demonstrating excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role requires someone who is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained
• Lead and support a team of childcare professionals, fostering a positive work environment
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines pertaining to childcare and early years education.
• Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and other necessary documentation.
• Drive initiatives to enhance the nursery's reputation within the community, promoting enrolment and engagement.
• Providing monthly reports to the Company director using Microsoft Excel on enrollments, attendance etc

Experience

• Proven experience in an early years setting in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Experience working with children of various ages, demonstrating patience and understanding in all interactions
• An appetite and drive to take on a new project

Qualifications (obtained or working towards):

• A qualification in Childhood Practice recognised by the Scottish Social Services Council at SCQF level 9 or above
• Management qualifications mapped to the Standard of Childhood Practice at SCQF level 9 or above
• A BA in Childhood Practice
