Kilbarchan Community Nursery SCIO
A Senior Early Years Practitioner is required for a community nursery. The successful candidate will work as part of the senior staff team to assist in the effective management of the nursery and out of school care service. You will, on occasions, assume the role of lead practitioner in the absence of the Depute and Manager and take responsibility as a keyholder for the premises. You will support the management team to ensure a high standard of early learning and care for the children attending the service and support staff members as a team and individually as required to achieve this.
The successful candidate must be qualified to a minimum of HNC Childcare and Education or equivalent. Have, or be prepared to work towards an additional relevant management qualification. Previous experience of working with groups of children under 5 is essential and having some team leader experience is desirable. The Senior Nursery Officer must be able to work as part of a team and take on additional leadership and management duties as required.
As the post is regulated work with children and the successful candidate will be required to complete a PVG scheme record application or update through disclosure Scotland and register as a practitioner with the SSSC.
