Lauriston Nursery are currently recruiting for an experienced full time Nursery Manager to join our family run, independent nursery. We are a modern, well resourced, purpose designed nursery located close to good transport links in Kinross.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Management of the day-to-day operation of the Nursery.
- Liaising with the Local Authority, Care Inspectorate and other agencies as required to meet partnership contractual arrangements with Perth & Kinross Council
- Maintaining high standards of care and education
- Effectively lead and manage the staff team, including day to day guidance, training, and support
- Ensuring all policies procedures and curriculum are implemented and adhered to at all times
- To keep up to date with developments in early childhood thinking and trends
Essential experience and qualification
- Qualified as required to register as a Nursery Manager with SSSC (e.g. BA Childhood Practice or PDA level 9).
- Have a proven track record of experience in a similar management role with excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong working knowledge and ability to implement the Curriculum for Excellence, Pre-Birth to Three, Realising our Ambition and How Good Is Our Early Learning and Childcare
- Experience in leading a staff team, as well as the ability to support their learning and development
- You must have a flexible and creative approach, with a sound knowledge of current legislation relating to childcare.
- You should have strong IT skills and knowledge of social media platforms.
