Are you an existing Nursery Manager looking for your next challenge, or a Depute Manager looking for the next step, or currently working towards a management position within a Nursery? This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive, enthusiastic, and experienced team.

Lauriston Nursery are currently recruiting for an experienced full time Nursery Manager to join our family run, independent nursery. We are a modern, well resourced, purpose designed nursery located close to good transport links in Kinross.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Management of the day-to-day operation of the Nursery.
  • Liaising with the Local Authority, Care Inspectorate and other agencies as required to meet partnership contractual arrangements with Perth & Kinross Council
  • Maintaining high standards of care and education
  • Effectively lead and manage the staff team, including day to day guidance, training, and support
  • Ensuring all policies procedures and curriculum are implemented and adhered to at all times
  • To keep up to date with developments in early childhood thinking and trends

Essential experience and qualification

  • Qualified as required to register as a Nursery Manager with SSSC (e.g. BA Childhood Practice or PDA level 9).
  • Have a proven track record of experience in a similar management role with excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong working knowledge and ability to implement the Curriculum for Excellence, Pre-Birth to Three, Realising our Ambition and How Good Is Our Early Learning and Childcare
  • Experience in leading a staff team, as well as the ability to support their learning and development
  • You must have a flexible and creative approach, with a sound knowledge of current legislation relating to childcare.
  • You should have strong IT skills and knowledge of social media platforms.
