Early Years Practitioner – Meadows Nursery

Meadows Nursery is a small, family run business situated in
a prime location next to the Meadows which allows us to make full use of the
local amenities. We are currently looking for enthusiastic, caring and
qualified (HNC or SVQ3) Early Years Practitioner to join our team within the
under 3s rooms. A Meadows Nursery Practitioner is responsible for
providing a friendly, loving, safe and stimulating environment for the children
in their care, with emphasis on responsive care and extending the children’s
learning.

practitioners £9.40 p/h).
Your role as practitioner is to:
- Provide responsive and attentive care for
children, aged 6months to 2 years or 2-3years, placing emphasis on
creating a loving, inviting and inclusive environment where the children’s
wellbeing and needs are met.
- Carry out and be responsible for all of
the day to day care of the children on your floor. Duties are to include:
nappy changing; assistance with snack and meals times; keeping resources
and all rooms (including kitchen and toilet areas) clean and to a high
hygiene standard; working together with colleagues in the implementation
of planned experiences; supervising children in all areas of the nursery;
ensuring the health and safety of both children and staff; filling out
daily information registers accurately; reporting all accidents and
incidents to your senior and ensure all relevant forms are filled out
correctly; handovers to parents at the end of the night
- Meadows Nursery expects all staff and
children to develop positive, professional relationships with their
colleagues and children by role modelling sensitive, calm and respectful
behaviour towards everyone. We expect all staff to uphold our Confidentiality
policy.
- Responsibility for observations;
assessment of development; and overall care for their own key children
group, as well as planning and implementing experiences using the
Pre-Birth to 3 or Building The Ambition documents.
