Roles that require PVG Membership

Please note that with effect from 1 April 2023, where a role requires PVG membership, candidates will be required to meet the cost of the PVG membership. This applies only to roles with a full time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above. (Teaching roles and jobs at Grade 11 and above (currently £31,505 per annum / £17.31 per hour)

The Council will pay for the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members, or £59 for non-members, and this cost will be deducted from an employee’s first FULL month’s salary payment.

Job purpose/about the role

The postholder will work as part of a team to plan, manage and implement a number of high-profile and high-risk projects within the Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership’s (ACHSCP) Strategic Plan.

The postholder will be responsible for all aspects of project management, with a clear focus on the successful delivery of projects which contribute to the ACHSCP’s strategic aims and objectives and improve operational efficiency and service delivery.

This post will be part of the Strategy and Transformation team within the Partnership and will operate across a range of services both within and across the wider Partnership

The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:

  • A postgraduate qualification in relevant field OR evidence of equivalent experience.
  • Project or Programme Management Training OR equivalent experience.

 

The postholder is able to demonstrate:

  • Specialist knowledge and expertise acquired through post graduate education OR equivalent qualification experience in project management.
  • Evidence of specialist knowledge of project management, co-ordination and evaluation skills including working with external agencies (NHS Grampian, Local Authority and Voluntary / Third Sector).
  • Supporting staff within a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency project team
  • Knowledge and experience of relevant current legislation and strategies that drive the priorities of ACHSCP.
  • Working under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative working skills and experience of developing strong partnerships and effective partnership working systems.
  • Explaining sensitive and highly complex information to a range of audiences and where there are significant barriers to acceptance or understanding.
  • Developing and agreeing own personal development, with feedback from others.
