An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Care Manager to work in a large care management team supporting older adults and adults with physical disabilities We are a large team working in a busy City. You will work closely with the Service Manager's and the other Senior Care Manager's in the team, as well as colleagues from across the health and social care partnership and locality social work teams. A primary role in this position will be the supervision and direct line management of a team of Senior Practitioners and the day-to-day management and leadership of your team. You will be a self-motivated, dynamic individual who is committed to promoting and ensuring that the adults we are supporting remain the focus of the team’s work. You will have the skills to initiate and develop effective working relationships with colleagues and other agencies and contribute to the development of services for adults in the local area. You must have the ability to undertake thorough scrutiny of referrals and workload management for a busy and dynamic service. This is an ideal opportunity to continue gaining managerial experience within a busy and challenging yet stimulating and supportive environment. You will receive good support and regular supervision.
The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:
At least one of the following qualifications: BA Social Work or equivalent or professional qualification in OT or professional qualification in Nursing (1st level registration RGN with community experience)
Registration with relevant professional body – i.e. SSSC, NMC or BHPC
Registered as a Council Officer through Adult Support Protection
PVG Membership
The postholder is able to demonstrate:
A creative, innovative and flexible approach to manage resources effectively
Ability to communicate effectively with service users, staff, carers and internal/
external professionals to achieve improved outcomes for service users
Ability to chair meetings and case conferences effectively
Planning and decision making skills
Financial management skills
Commitment to providing high quality customer service
Competence with a range of ICT packages including MS Office
Mentor and support new staff/student
