Job Purpose

Provide a comprehensive support service to users of BAC’s information systems and digital devices.

Support systems related continuous improvement and information governance across the range of services provided by BAC.

Maintain BAC systems related asset registers.

Contribute to the development of BAC’s systems strategy.

Requirements

The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:

 HND in a relevant systems or information related course.

Experience of supporting and developing information systems, ideally within a similar sector or environment, e.g., public sector, adult care sector, systems with mobile device field-based users, case management systems, customer relationship management systems, etc.

Ideally have some Salesforce or similar experience.

Experience of Microsoft 365 development and support.

Experience with Business Intelligence reporting and dashboard tools (e.g. Salesforce, Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Excel).

Understanding of data governance requirements.

Ability to travel to sites within Aberdeen City.

PVG registration prior to being appointed.

Responsibilities

The post holder will be expected to:

 Provide specialist digital systems and devices related support to all users of BAC systems.

Assist in the development and improvement of BAC systems and devices.

Contribute to data management, governance and configuration of complex data models and procedures, e.g., Performance Indicators, FOI, GDPR, British Standards, best practice guidelines, national government requirements for data sharing, data security, data retention and disposal, etc.

Liaise with software suppliers and colleagues in other organisations and departments (in particular Aberdeen City Council’s Digital and Technology teams).

Maintain BAC systems related asset registers.

Contribute to the development of BAC’s systems strategy, including identifying potential opportunities for systems related improvement, integration, rationalisation and development.

Participate in and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Build Business Intelligence reports and dashboards (e.g. Salesforce and Microsoft Power BI).

Build Office 365 Apps to help improve processes and procedures.
