This is an excellent opportunity to become part of the support team embedded in the Environmental Health team that is committed to delivering a wide range of regulatory duties throughout the Aberdeenshire Area. Environmental Health is the branch of public health which deals with all aspects of the natural and built environment that may affect public health. Much of the work is preventative and the team has an important role in ensuring that Aberdeenshire maintains its reputation of a safe and healthy place in which to live, work and holiday.
The team undertake sampling and monitoring duties to ensure compliance of the Regulations. The Private Water Supplies (Grants)(Scotland) Regulations 2006 allow grants to be made to improve private water supplies.
The successful candidate will undertake a role that supports the Private Water Supply Team with a specific focus on the administration of the grant scheme.
The successful applicant must have good communication skills, flexibility, and diplomacy skills. The ability to manage and effectively prioritise workload and to work to strict deadlines will be required to deliver regulatory duties.
The base location is flexible, and job share arrangements may be available.
