Job Description

This position will provide you with an opportunity to gain valuable new skills and experience within the support team embedded in the Environmental Health service that is committed to delivering a wide range of regulatory duties throughout the Aberdeenshire Area.

Environmental Health is the branch of public health which deals with all aspects of the natural and built environment that may affect public health, including Food Safety. Much of the work is preventative and the team has an important role in ensuring that Aberdeenshire maintains its reputation of a safe and healthy place in which to live, work and holiday.

The Service undertakes Food Hygiene training for businesses, voluntary groups, and individual members of the public. You will play a key role in coordinating our training courses, ensuring a smooth process from enrolment to completion. This position also involves providing excellent phone support for the department.

The successful applicant must have good communication skills, flexibility, and diplomacy skills. The ability to manage and effectively prioritise workload and to work to strict deadlines will be required to deliver regulatory duties.

This post is based at Unit 7 Harlaw Way, Inverurie
