Job Description
Aberdeenshire Council is committed to providing quality public transport services in partnership with operators.
You will help us achieve this by working in our Passenger Transport Unit. This team is responsible for the provision and maintenance of the Council's public transport infrastructure, in addition to the production and dissemination of passenger information, publicity and promotional material.
Your primary duties will be to install, clean and replace bus stop timetable cases and to post timetable displays within these across Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire. In undertaking such duties you will also monitor the condition and cleanliness of bus shelters, bus stops and other public transport infrastructure.
You will need basic numeracy and literacy skills and be able to use your own initiative when undertaking day-to-day duties without close supervision.
Please note – you will be required to have a full current UK/EEA Driver licence to ensure you can travel across the full extent of the north east of Scotland.
More details of the tasks you will undertake and criteria the successful candidate will fulfil can be found in the attached job profile.
There will also be a requirement to work some week-ends, on an ad-hoc basis (approximately 12 week-ends throughout the year).
The days can be flexible Monday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Friday.
