Live Life Aberdeenshire’s Cultural Services is delighted to offer this opportunity to join the team at an exciting time of development. We are looking to recruit creative, passionate, forward thinking team players to help drive the service forward and deliver on our ambitious plans including the Council’s multi-million-pound project in Peterhead to create a Museum of Aberdeenshire.
The post of Customer & Commercial Services Officer is responsible for the efficient and productive delivery of the Service’s front of house operations. This includes customer engagement and audience development, activities, venue hire, box office, retail and performance monitoring. The post-holder will also be involved in the development of new commercial and retail opportunities at the Museum of Aberdeenshire in Peterhead.
As a key member of the team, you will have line management responsibility for a small team of Museum front of house staff and lead excellent customer service while operating the highest health and safety standards.
The post holder must be flexible and have experience of working in cultural or hospitality sectors in an operational context in the fields of performing arts, museums or event management, including health and safety and customer care.
The post is based at Museum Services HQ in Mintlaw and is line managed by the Museums Development Coordinator. The role is full-time and for a fixed term of 12 months.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
Secondment opportunities will be considered based on the advertised salary, subject to candidates having the mutual consent of their current employer.
