Job Description
Internal vacancy – applications for this post will only be accepted from current employees of Aberdeenshire Council (this includes relief staff and agency staff who are currently undertaking work with us).
This post is critical to the Transformation programme currently underway in Aberdeenshire Council, and is aligned to the digital workforce development theme of the Data, Digital and Technology workstream.
The post is fixed term due to a service review.
The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of the Microsoft 365 platform (across core and advanced tools) and its potential to positively transform the organisation. They will understand the benefits of employee learning and digital skills development. Their enthusiasm, advanced networking and collaboration skills will lead them to inspire colleagues to positively engage with these priorities. The post holder will line-manage 3 Employee Development Officers and work closely with the wider Learning & Development, Change and Improvement teams. The Digital Workforce Development programme of work is well underway and includes delivering digital learning platforms, managing the Digital Champions skills development (365Tribe) contract, forward development of the Digital Champion network, and the launch of a M365 Training Needs Analysis tool. You will engage with the workforce using Sharepoint, Viva Engage and other platforms to showcase digital innovation in Aberdeenshire using a variety of tools including video. The digital skills workforce programme is a key component of the people strategy and delivery plan.
This is a hybrid post and can work from home.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
This post has a minimum requirement of one reference which must be your current or most recent employer.
