Job Description

Internal vacancy – applications for this post will only be accepted from current employees of Aberdeenshire Council (this includes relief staff and agency staff who are currently undertaking work with us).

The Housing Officer (Options) role will work under the guidance of the Senior Housing Officers and the Team Leader and will have a key role in supporting the business functions of the team. The role will primarily relate to work linked to Resettlement and Asylum. But it will also assist with the range of other options and homeless activities undertaken within the team, this will include activities to support strategic and operational action, by directly supporting the activity of the overarching management team (OHMT) and the Options and Homeless Housing Manager.

Other work streams will be generated from procurement and reconciliation, collation, and presentation of performance management data, the provision of data for specific administration around contracts and related activities.

Having a desire and commitment to have an evidence-based improvement approach, while possessing excellent customer service skills, the applicant will understand the desired outcomes of delivering the Options and Homelessness Service, through their knowledge and experience in their current and previous roles. This role may require flexible, evening and weekend working, and external visits

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
