Housing Officer - Options

Job Description

Deliver the Housing Options service, exploring options and choices to address an individuals housing need. This features early intervention activities and incudes advice on all tenure options with a focus on homelessness prevention and including homelessness assistance where required.

This role may require flexible, evening and weekend working, and home visits, so a valid driving licence is essential.

You will have good, all-round knowledge and experience of the housing profession, relating particularly to allocations, homelessness and temporary accommodation as well as excellent communication skills and an ability to organise workloads.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation

Requirements

This post requires a Disclosure Check and where applicable, an Overseas Criminal Record Check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
