Job Description
Live Life Aberdeenshire has an exciting opportunity for a skilled technician on a full-time permanent basis.
This opportunity would suit an organised, proactive and health and safety aware team player who can balance competing priorities across our busy Museum Service venues.
Key tasks include the efficient and productive implementation of Health & Safety regimes across our sites. You will have oversight of the work of external contractors, communicate with property staff around building maintenance, and operate the Museum Service’s van and other machinery. Additional tasks will involve supporting museum staff in constructing displays, transporting museum objects, and in organising the physical set up of permanent, temporary, and touring exhibitions.
You will report directly to the Museum Conservator. Your work base will be at the Discovery Centre at Museums HQ in Mintlaw.
The deadline to receive applications is midnight on Wednesday 10th June 2026.
Successful applicants will be invited to an in-person interview in Mintlaw on Monday 22nd June 2026.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
