Job Description

Aberdeenshire Council is seeking an Outdoor Access Officer to assist in the delivery of the Council’s access duties and responsibilities in the context of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 and Countryside Scotland Act 1967.

The successful candidate would predominantly be covering the Aberdeenshire South area (Garioch, Kincardine & Mearns, and Marr) but dependent on workload demands, there may be a requirement at times to undertake work in North Aberdeenshire.
Physical effort to access remote sites on foot where necessary is required, and attendance at evening/weekend meetings/events as appropriate.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

It is a material condition of employment for this post that the employee holds a current full driving licence and has a car available, whenever required, in order to undertake the full range of duties of the post. As such, the post is designated as an authorised car user and will be entitled to receive mileage payments.
